Codecs and Codec Packs
If you want to know what codec pack to use for playing or encoding
media files you've come to the wrong place. In fact, I don't recommend
the use of any codec pack as more times than not they end up messing up
the computer in one way or another.
What I recommend is that you install a few basic codecs, listed below,
and that you use a file analyzer to identify supplementary codecs you
might need when you come accross peculiar video files.
