We went to the Casino in Sinaia to see a play performed by some Moldavian actors.... Moldavian from the Republic of Moldavia that is, Chisinau to be more precise.
The play was Moliere's "Le Médecin malgré lui" (Romanian: "Doctor fara voie", English: "The Doctor in spite of himself"), a good performance of it. Our "brothers from accross the Prut" put on a truly charming performance. Besides the fact that Moliere's plays tend to be colourful and loud on their own, the way it was played tonight really makes me think that Oltenians don't deserve their title as the loudest, fastest-speaking Romanians any more and that this title should be passed on to Moldavians from the Republic.
