As it happens every once in a while, every 4 months to be more precise, we forget to pay for the cable subscription and they disconnect it... as a gentle reminder, nothing more.
Well, they disconnected it about a week ago but as we don't really have time to watch any TV at all nobody bothered. Today, I thought I'd step up and go pay, a simple task as you might think (so did I).
I went to the Astral agency where I took care of this problem last time only to find that it was closed for rebranding (UPC bought Astral). There was a small sign on the door with a few addresses of other agencies. I memorized the addresses for those that seemed to be the closest and off I went. The address of the first one I tried to find was Ghencea 126-132. I found number 36 and then lost the numbers completely. When I checked the map later it seems 126 was just 2 blocks down from 36.
I then tried to find Drumul Taberei 96. I almost had it when I decided to ask somebody for directions. They sent me 4 intersections further to where another Astral agency was located saying that was the closest one. I checked the map. The agency I was looking for was just behind them. Why don't people keep their !@#$% mouths shut when they don't know something. I guess they were just trying to be helpful.
Anyway to keep things short, two hours and a quarter tank of petrol later my mission was accomplished. The TV should live again tomorrow. Now we just need to have the Internet fixed by our wonderful (NOT) ISP and everything will be perfect.
