One very cool and interesting thing we found during our weekend trip was a plaque (attached picture) displayed on a wall inside the Red Mountain Chalet (Romanian: Cabana Muntele Rosu).
The plaque shows there was an expedition from the school in Comarnic that reached the chalet in 1972, possibly on foot since the Red Mountain is only 3 or 4 valleys away from Comarnic.
