Tonight I'm in Vrsac in the Serbian part of Banat.
We've had a great bit of road trip today, following the road through the gorges of the Danube on the Serbian side of the river. The enclosed picture is the view of the Mraconia monastery on the Romanian side of the river from the Serbian side. At that point the Danube is only a couple of hundred metres wide.
Later in the afternoon we've also crossed the Danube on a "charming" little ferry. It was made in part of wood... creaking, squeaking WOOD!
