I finally wrote my letter to Santa Claus tonight. It was very helpful as you'd expect. I think it's always helpful to stop and think about what you really want.
Anyway, I realized I want a lot of things for myself but those aren't the most important. Looking at my letter I saw there are things I want other people to have that are apparently more important to me.
Speaking of Christmas, I also found it to be socially important in one of my recent tooth-brushing meditative moments. I realized that there are probably many people out there who don't think about making gifts all year round and they're pushed into doing it by the Christmas tradition (a.k.a. spirit). Giving creates goodwill and improves feelings between people and thus leads to a better society overall.
