I've caught a pretty nasty cold so I'm feeling less sympathetic to my fellow man than I would usually feel. Because of that I've decided it's finally time to rat on a little big spammer.
Here's the idea: Whenever I subscribe to a newsletter or give my address to a website I use a distinct email address. Instead of having a single email address I have an entire domain that I use solely to subscribe to newsletters and such. This allows me to track exactly what address I entered on which site.
A few months ago somebody launched Daily Business .ro (I'm not linking to them because that would be good for them). I soon found myself subscribed to them with two addresses that I could easily track to two other websites I signed up with.
Shame on you, Daily Business, for buying email lists.
Shame on you, Top MBA, for selling your email lists or for not protecting them properly.
The other site had some fairly weird terms of service so one could argue I gave my consent.
