Uploading files to FTP with Total Commander

My preferred program for transferring files across FTP is Total Commander. It is perhaps a rather odd choice, since its main purpose isn't to transfer files accross FTP but rather to manage files in general. I prefer it because of its large usable file list area.

To start using it the first thing you need to do is download it here: www.ghisler.com

In order to connect to an FTP server click Net on the menu, then choose FTP Connect.

Create Account

If the FTP Server isn't defined yet click New Connection.

Create New Connection

Enter all the connection details and click OK.

Fill In connection data

After the FTP server has been defined select it from the list and click Connect.

Connect to New Account

After Total Commander has connected to the FTP server select the files or folders you wish to upload from your local hard drives and press F5 (on the keyboard) or click the underlined Copy button.

Copy files
